Both Katie Baulter and Sonay Kartal produced impressive win at the end of the record-breaking day for British players in Wimbledon.
The former British number one boulter took the evening to the Center Court and won a rare win over a top 10 player as he defeated Paula Badosa of Spain 6-2 3-6 6-4.
Earlier, Cartal was the first player in the British party action in a day with a win from the 20th seed Jelna Ostapenco.
Overall, seven Britain in the draw of men and women moved forward in the second round in one day, making it the most successful day for the British players in Wimbledon in the open era.
Baulter, 28, and Kartal joined by British number one Emma Redukanu – Those who defeat the compatriot – Cameron Nori, Arthur Far, Oliver Tarvet and Billy Harris.
“It is incredible with so many British in the draw,” said 22 -year -old Redukanu.
“I think it’s too good for the audience, to follow in the draw for so many British. As we win the match, it’s more and more exciting.”

On one shock day in SW19, Kartal topped the former French Open Champion in the second round from 7-5 2-6 6-2.
The 23 -year -old Kartal was one of the 10 British women at the All England Club – the highest since 1992.
He had to come from behind to win the opening set on a vibrant court three.
But a major decision set secured her progress for two rounds for the second time in her career, after a breakout tournament in Wimbledon last year where she reached the third round.
“It was one of the most difficult matches ever that I played,” he said after a win over the top -20 player this year.
“I would say that I struggle against big hits. I have made a conscious effort to play big matches this year and put myself under the most pressure in court.
“I knew I would not get the results directly, but it will eventually pay, and that’s what happened today.”
